David Lemieux’s lopsided loss to Billy Joe Saunders on Saturday night drew more viewers than Lemieux’s previous appearance on HBO. Ratings released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research indicated that the Saunders-Lemieux main event drew a peak audience of 775,000 viewers on Saturday night from Laval, Quebec, Canada. Their 12-round fight, which Saunders won convincingly, was watched by an average of 716,000 viewers.

HBO's ratings have really fallen off. It's basically the same as Showtime now in terms of annual viewership numbers.

With about 30% more subs, leadership needs to figure that issue out.

Seems pretty good for a couple of lower tier fighters.Sure BJS might be moving up the ranks but everyone thought he was pretty average before this and Id still put him below Jacobs at 160

I thought this would do better ratings. It was a good fight on paper.

Not bad for these two fighters! I see people lashing out at HBO for not being what they once was in the boxing game but you have to admit, the fighters have changed also. It has been incredibly tough over the pass five years to get the top guys to face one another on a consistent basis. Fighters are asking for double the money for fighting low level competition. It's funny how people lash out at certain promoters for not putting their to top guys against Haymon top fighters but if you look at it, it seem as if it's just as tough for Haymon to get his own to guys to face each other for whatever reason.

The issue is that they’re trying to make chicken salad out of chicken ****.

It’s clear their budget isn’t what it used to be. And their quest to find the next Arturo Gatti is making them look pretty silly.

700,000 is okay for BJS, considering he's never fought in North America before or been shown Peak Time there.

I didn't expect 1 million but was hoping for 850-900,000 Peak but HBO's Ratings are down across the board.

This Fight still did better then Daniel Jacobs vs Arias fight and Jacobs has had a lot more exposure then BJS.

Those aren't bad numbers when you consider neither of them was American and they are each relative unknowns to casual fans.
