    Cotto vs Callazo at 147?

I doubt if this fight happeneds because Callazo is too dangerous and you might as well fight a guy like Hatton or Castillo if your going to fight him but boxing is known for having managers gauge there fighters by future opponents. For example, I could see Arum letting him fight Callazo to see how well he does compared to Hatton. We all know that happeneds alot.

Either way, Cotto has fought a few good boxers in Paulie, Chop, & Bronco so how do you think he would stack up at 147 against Callazo. Ive heard a few people say that Cotto was just too big tonight, Paulie was too featherfisted, and that Cotto would lose against a slick boxer with pop.

This isnt the same because Callazo is left handed but he is slick, Cotto wont outweight him by a 100 pounds, Callazo definatly is not heavy handed but he has much more pop then Paulie.

Who do you guys have and why? Again, be honest and dont be biased or a hater.

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't Cotto spar with Colazo for this fight or was that someone else?

Anyway, that chin of Cotto's is always the big thing whenever he fights so I could give Collazo a good chance to beat Cotto. I think Cotto has the better jab and could keep Collazo at bay if he boxes but Cotto does like to trade and that could favor Collazo.

Well first,I think youre giving Collazo a hell of alot of credit. How many times have you seen him fight? Because for most of us,its once.He had a decent showing against Hatton, but I still thought he lost.

anyway,i think cotto wins,I think hes more versatile than hatton, and I think he'll carry his power well, where hatton didnt seem to have much behind his bodyshots.

I admit I havent seen Callazo much but you know Im biased to slick boxers. I just love watching them and I think when you can do that you always have a chance. From watching him I think he has alot of skill but the only thing that is weird about him is that he doesnt seem as fast as the other slick boxers so thats kind of a problem but he kind of offsets that by being a southpaw. He's also not a guy like Paulie. I mean, he was a Champ and a legitmate one. He's beaten some solid fighters

I would say its the exact opposite.
Collazo is the better boxer, and he will want to keep on the outside, while Cotto will want to brawl and work to the body on the inside.
This is a pick em fight, but ill lean towards Cotto.

I'd favor Callazo by late round KO... would be a helluva' fight I think too.

By favor Collazo I meant he could catch Cotto and seriously hurt but I would pick Cotto myself.

I understand your pick, but your assesment was confusing for me. You reccomended Collazo fight on the inside and Cotto fight on the outside. I would assume it would be the exact opposite.

collazo and cotto have not sparred together.
since collazo is also out of brooklyn he has had some rounds with paulie but not for the fight he just had with cotto.
