Pretty much this. So any fan on this sport pretending not to care or understand this aspect of the sport is just ignorant. You might not agree with it or how the market decides because we all just want to see the best fights, but when one side over value their worth then how is the fight going to get made?

Yeah I agree and the thing is we can all sit in our real lives talking about % this and % that, but it's not our money and in pro-sports you have agents, promoters, managers, coaches, advisors and the boxers all looking out for their own interests. Most of these guys work on % there's no salaries and pension contributions everyone is performance based. So if you have a fighter pulling in $20m and the coach gets 5% and the Manager 10% etc (not real figures btw all depends on contracts) you can see there is a lot of money at stake for everyone, including...protecting their asset...which is why you don't see #1 vs #2 as commonly as in UFC where fighters are on multi fight fixed pay deals.

That fight would only happen due to money, so it doesnt matter what the fans or sport want. If Wilder sticks on 50-50 then that fight doesnt happen, If Joshua sticks to 80-20 then obviously the fight doesnt happen.

So its ok for fans to understand both sides of the argument without being called "accountants". or "Not wanting the fight" etc

At the end of the day it takes two to tango, and from what i can see right now both sides are to blame if that fight doesn't happen over the next few fights.

You misunderstood the point of the post. If you read the post again, you will see that I did say that fans will obviously discuss who they think is worth more and deserves more and so on. The point of the post is that if you support promoters avoiding fights because they are unwilling to make deals, or because they claim there's no monetary advantage, then you are not a fan of boxing. You can pick and choose sentences out of an entire quote, but it doesn't change the point.

People in the US should know Wilder since he has a title, but they think he is a NFL player... This will be my last response to you because by your last post, it's evident you are nothing but a troll, and know nothing of the subject you are talking about. The meeting between Wilder's reps and Hearn was not a "negotiation", It was a pre-requisite meeting. Both parities discussing level of interest and more than likely informing each other of where they want to go with their respective fighters. Hearn said himself that there was no negotiations. Wilder's 50-50 comment was to the media and had nothing to do with the meeting. Your an idiot....
