Hopkins is like fine Wine, he gets better with age. I think he should retire with this win, let me just tell you guys something you will never in your life time will see a fighter this good at the age of 35-41, period!
Well said. I think the win tonight puts Hopkins among the top tier of great fighters, among the greatest of all time.

I have mad respect for Hopkins and he deserves the time off he's finally going to get in retirement. Job well done and another hard lesson learned for Tarver, who continues to come off a big win with a big dissapointment.
Lol, use more excuses, Before the fight you were talking **** about how Hopkins was going to get a whooping and blah blah blah...just admit it milk dud got owned

Diego is the worst poster on this site. He has two loves in life:

        1) Disparaging Roy Jones
        2) sucking Chico's nuts

Weight loss is not an issue if it wasn't for Roy.

        End of thread.

          Tarver's Big Problem??
          Hes delusional.
He had the style to beat an All time great at the end of his career, and for reasons known only to him, decided that he was the best.
He wasnt. Hes not only that good.
Roy put it best when it comes to tarver.

Actually all the way up until this fight I went back and forth on who I thought would win and never said either guy would dominate. I may have picked Tarver way back when but the last couple days I called it a toss-up and said Tarver shouldn't be a big favorite because every expert picked Hopkins to win.

And I'm not making excuses. Weight is never an excuse is my final stance on the issue. It's not an excuse for Roy nor Tarver nor Castillo. Making weight and coming into a fight in 100% shape is to be expected every time and is never a valid excuse. These guys sign on to fight MONTHS AND MONTHS sometimes ****ing 6 months in advance and they should never ever be allowed to use weight or being in shape as an excuse.

I never really got all the hype on Tarver. I mean Ill give him the Jones fights. Roy may have been past his prime, but either way you look at it Tarver has his number for some reason. Tarver is in Roys head big time. Now his other big wins were against Harding, Johnson, and Griffin. Two of which beat him first, and the other was old and towards the end of his career. Im willing to bet money that if Tarver stays at light heavy he fights Johnson again.
