Floyd giving props to Crawford hoping he leaves Top Rank and cross over to TMT! Crawford will be crazy to deal with Floyd knowing he likes to make it all about himself. Crawford name can create his own brand.

Crawford was at 135 when the division was historically horrible and was post-Broner when he fought the top in the division and then only moved up to 140 when everyone already left to 47, including Garcia the real champ of the division...

          Thurman beat Garcia and Porter
Rungvisai just beat Chocolatito when Floyd said he was number 1 and has is on a nice winning streak..
Loma has beaten all high-ranked guys and a lb for lb top 5 in his last fight...
GGG and Canelo have better resumes than Crawford..

Crawford needs to beat a legit lb for lb fighter before we even mention him - the hype is just silly dude is going to be 29 and has 32 fights and has a pretty weak resume...

Thurman beats Crawford and Spence wipes the floor with Crawford...
you could basically talk down anyones resume. Sure you could discredit wins vs Gamboa and postol and you can almost refer to rigo and Russell using the same exact words you used for those 2 (Chinny fighter from a lower weight class +inactive with rigo & hype job who beat nobody relevant in Russell Jr) . Yes, ggg, Canelo and Thurman have better opponents faced but none of their recent fights vs top competition have been very convincing. All involved in close fights. While Crawford hasn't had the highest level of opponents, he's still exceeded expectations vs those guys because most didn't expect him to dominate postol and indongo the way he did. We'll see what he dies at 147 but I personally think he washes Thurman. Spence would be a great fight though.

Crawford UNIFIED, 140....Loma beat and older guy two weight classes below him. We ALL know what it is, Mikey beat better comp, NO ONE HAS A RESUME TO COMPARE WITH NELO, Thurman has faaaaaarrrrrrr better comp on his resume also He's a good fighter but he LOST to salido, and he fought against smaller fighters in his last two fights, and THAT'S supposed to make you p4p????
But its about promotion, so why not promote him, he and Garcia is the next big one...he's p4p 1 if he jumps up in weight and fight and BEAT Garcia, but Spence vs Thurman (Winner) is gonna take #1.

I still think Loma's win over Russell was next level stuff. But Crawford hasn't had a close fight in his wonderful career. I really like his win over Felix, who was ranked top 10 at WW when Crawford bested him. It's a good debate.
Errol Spence Jr and Mikey Garcia would likely take offense (Keith Thurman is in the mix, as would be Saul Alvarez if he beats Golovkin).

Floyd prefaced his point with saying that it doesn't have to be under his banner, lol.

For Crawford to "create his own brand, he's going to have to leave Top Rank, which seems less and less likely as Crawford keeps quiet.

He's a hell of a fighter, but he's not the only one; Errol is targeting Keith Thurman to establish the new 147lb king, Mikey is trying to rule two weight classes, Canelo is taking on tough fights on his own schedule, etc.

If Crawford really does end up sitting out until the summer for Jeff Horn, he would've played himself.

Both Lomachenko and Crawford beat Floyd.

Lomachenko beats Floyd at 130 and 135lbs
Crawford beat Floyd at 140 and 147.

Floyd would have ducked both fighters

but knowing floyd, he's not gonna give another fighter his props without throwing some shade at it, like always. He’s a lot older than I was when he really started getting his props because I turned professional as a teenager:...
My thoughts exactly and somehow the conversation always ends up about him.

Floyd was one of the greatest Jr lightweights of all time. He was at his best at that weight. As special as Loma is, I can't see him beating Floyd at 130. Not yet. Peace.
