It's a perfectly valid opinion. Lara's fights are borderline unwatchable most of the time.

A lot of boxing viewers share the same opinion.

And why the comparison between saunders and lara? The guys fight way differently, saunders actually throws combinations and exchanges more. Their movement isn't really that similar either

saunders does a lot more than lara and is a lot less negative. if you don't make lara work he'll literally just sit there and pot shot. saunders takes the initiative a good deal and has a pretty solid jab for a left hander. fights a lot more professionally and a lot less like an amateur. that's just an opinion, but one that i really can't see anybody disagreeing with.


but if you are screaming and crying about lara being boring and championing saunders as the next sergio martinez i can see why people would raise an eyebrow.

i don't think fat dan is racist. i think he's a top rank shill and one of the more biased, high level pundits in boxing based on that.

Yes he can, Saunders counterpunched and hurt Lemeiux while Lara just stays away with 1-2's even if he hurt his guy, even if the other guy is doing nothing, BJS just outclassed Lemeiux but when he needed to let his hands go, he did and i dislike Dan Rafael and i like Lara, but he is the one putting those awful performances, BJS was getting the same threatment before but he put himself in shape and took David to school.

I’m not a big fan of Rafael. He does seem overly critical of Cuban fighters. Then again, when you’re talking about Rigo and Lara, most people find them boring as shit as well. Nevertheless, I began to find Dan biased in the wake of the Rigo-Donaire bout, which I thought was a pretty good fight. Rafael only seems to approve of slugfests. Nothing wrong will all-action fights, we all enjoy them, but when a supposed boxing “expert” frowns upon contests of skill, I have to wonder about his knowledge and objectivism.

Lara is legitimately the most boring and annoying fighter in the game right now. Watching him is just awful. Saunders boxed and was completely eye catching in his fight with Lemiuex. When Lara fought on the showtime card vs gausha or whatever his name is, the fans left the fight because it was so ****ing awful. fighting lara is a waste of time, no fans will appreciate that you beat a dude who is boring. he runs around, throws a potshot and then crys racism that he doesn't get any respect. ****** *****, retire and disappear. I dare anyone to call me racist for calling lara a piece of **** and a trash fighter.

That is how I see it too. saunder "ran" just like Lara, and the point is that, dan has been very critical of Lara, and of course Rigondeaux. Lara has a couple of really good fights against williams and perro. Haven't heard or read anything from rafael. Lara shut down boxers and is not in him to go out for the kill. Now if you press him, he could knock you out. But fans will see what they want to see. Something I don't want to watch is Lara vs. saunders. That is a no no. But to me they have the same style. Oh, and for those fans telling me that Lara never leads or throws combo. That is not true, he does, not like Chacon or Boza-Edwards. I seen it...
