I get why because he has looked poor recently and has suffered stamina problems in the past, but there were flashes of the fighter he could be and he seems to be putting it all together now.

Whether he beats any of them or not, Saunders belongs near the top of 160.

    I would go:

    1. GGG
    2. Canelo
    3. Jacobs
    4. Saunders

Saunders has better win than DJ but the performance vs GG edges him ahead just. On the right night I could see any of these guys beating each other (edge to 1 and 2 obviously)

Lem has always been basic, but if you fight the wrong fight he will end you. Saunders boxed beautifully by anyone’s standards
That's how I rate the MWs. Good win for Saunders. GGG finished Lemieux in 8 rounds, though, so that's the immediate triangle comparison you could make (I know: triangle theories are only a puzzle piece).

Many of us British people on here have said Saunders is underrated. He's always been very talented but unfocused and usually not in great condition but now he seems serious about it. His ability has never been in question though. Most people dislike for him here is due to personality, not what he can do in the ring. They let his personality blind their judgement of his ability.

As for Lemieux, i don't think he's overrated or underrated. He is what he is. Stand and trade with him and be a static target and he'll give you all the problems in the world. If you're a fighter with a good ring IQ and can box smart, you'll beat him. He is/was a top 10 Middleweight, just not good enough to really compete with the top guys in the division.

Would be interesting though. I think BJS would "run" circle around the ring nonstop while Lil'G closes the ring constantly. At best maybe 4 rounds to BJS just because the judges have saturated what had happened with the Jacobs and Canelo performances, so BJS will get advantage from that perception, which really should be a accredited to Jacobs and Canelo.

From the Southpaw perspective, BJS will do what Monroe Jr. should've done, that is to dip inside with combinations and dip out, continue. GGG won't respect BJS''s power.

Saunders had great energy last night...he looked like crap against Monroe JR because he gassed. When he's in shape like that I'd rate him up there against anyone at 160 and probably make them look bad. I still don't know where he found all that energy?

A combination of the two IMO, Saunders pulled out a very good performance, and extensively exposed flaws we already knew Lemieux had. It wasn’t the the fact that Saunders beat Lemieux that was impressive it was the way he beat him, when many including myself thought it would be a 50/50 type fight. The reason I thought this was because I underestimated Saunders, and overrated Lemieux.

Saunders has a VERY good resume

LEe, Eubank Jr, Lemeuix, monroe, akarov--None of those guys are easy fights at all, he went through all of them without getting caught. He'll prob rematch Eubank

                      Him and jacobs should fight
