So I guess the only british clown remains is Amir Khan.

Eubank got clowned all year in 2016 when he refused to fight GGG. But his recent fights got him the support and lowered the criticisms.

Saunders got clowned from 2015-2017 till his fight against Lemieux when he ducked GGG for a year, then looking like crap against Monroe and the Russian guy but looked great and put on a clinic against a decent opponent in Lemieux and got him some support.

Amir Khan on the other hand......

Saunders looked terrific yesterday. Eubank also has been fighting very well. Khan really is a bad joke and one of very few boxers I dislike. He is a conceited bragger who badly overrated his fighting skills and importance. He disrespects Mayweather and his supposed friend Pacquiao by saying they are afraid to fight him while he does nothing to earn such fights. Since leaving Roach he has been mostly a cherry picker who averages about one fight a year. His fans say he has guts to fight Canelo but he was extremely well paid for that fight. Instead of chasing giant fights with Mayweather and Pacquiao he could be trying to avenge losses to Peterson, Prescott and Garcia who are all active welterweights. He might as well be retired for all the fighting he does now. He is out of shape and going on reality tv instead of training for a boxing match he apparently doesn't even want unless it's a giant payday with Pacquiao. He has been out of the ring for 19 months with no fight planned even now. In a recent interview posted on boxing scene he said he was once a welterweight world champion and wanted to be one again. He is a clown living in a fantasy world.

He signed a contract to fight GGG in June 2017 in Kazakhstan but obviously the fight didn't happen because they waited for the Canelo fight. He wasn't ducking anybody. He also signed a rematch with Eubank Jr and Eubank's team never signed their end. They even had the press conference and then Eubank and his team decided they didn't fancy it.

In an interview a few days ago, Saunders said he has signed a contract twice to fight Canelo but the fights never happened on Canelo's side. First i heard about it but Saunders isn't the fighter that would just say that. I wonder when they were and why Canelo's team didn't fight agree in the end. I'd imagine one of them might have been back-up plan for the GGG fight.

Inactivity and lifestyle choices were his problem but one thing he isn't is a ducker. Even at domestic and euro level coming through the ranks he never took any easy routes. He was fighting good competition when coming through, for that level anyway.
