I don't think Canelo is afraid of any challenge but i can't see Golden Boy jumping at the chance to put him in with Saunders due to style, especially after the Lara fight. Apart from Khan who was never a threat, they have kept Canelo away from any fighter that can box and move at speed since Lara.

Of course Canelo isn't afraid to fight the best fighters out there but Saunders has a style that is high risk and probably low reward financially, although Saunders stock has gone up a bit tonight.

Imagine if it was on PPV and even if Canelo wins a close fight where he looks poor like the Lara fight, it isn't a good look for a supposed now "face of boxing" on PPV.

There's a lot more to it than just being willing to fight other good fighters..

BJS ruined Golden Boy's plan (Canelo vs. Lemieux). It's much better for Canelo to lose to GGG than lose to BJS, or Jacobs, or Andrade or Charlo.

Canelo - BJS would be a great fight. Don't think Oscar takes it, but I would still make Canelo 60:40 favorite in that one.
