    Disappointing, but fair I suppose. Fuentes is not the fighter he used to be, and I doubt a weight change is going to make any real difference. Higa should fight Waseem or Selby after this to prove his stock even more, and then go for unification against the eventual WBA champ or Donnie Nietes.

      Higa walks through Nietes IMO, Nietes isn’t what he was at the lower weights.
      I agree Fuentes is a poor choice of opponent, he was convincingly beat and stopped by Tanaka and has done nothing since to merit a title shot, he’s 1-2 in his last 3 and lost to a 17-15 fighter in Lara, who’s better than his record suggest tbf but still...
      Higa should fight Tanaka as he’s moving to 112.
