  • Comments Thread For: Fury: What Will Critics Says When I Make Joshua Look Like a Child?

Former unified world champion Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) believes WBA, IBO, IBF champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs) has been overhyped. Fury is even worried that Joshua will get knocked out in a potential unification with WBO champion Joseph Parker - which is being negotiated for the first quarter of 2018.

Have to love a Fury interview. He’s entertaining. Great boxer. But youth aside, 2 plus years out of the game—probably 3 plus by the time he faces Joshua, IF he can cut the weight and then fights a tomato can to get back in the mix, one would still have cause for concern. Mentally I don’t think he can rattle AJ. I just don’t. But the build up and energy of this fight would be amazing. AJ probably transcends him at this point. Unfortunate because Fury was (and still can be) great for the sport.

I agree partly with Tyson that Joshua is strong with a good physique, is he over hyped we will find out if he faces Parker, Wilder or Povetkin. Joshua was exposed by Klitschko who let's face it was way passed his prime and had been inactive for 18 months, and Joshua is in his Prime and looked poor against Takam which was stopped prematurely. I also agree the Parker fight could be dangerous and if Parker does cause an upset it wouldn't surprise me. I also don't like the greed coming from Hearn and Joshua as I think Parker deserves his 35% at least but if they drop it lower that would be disgusting I watch this space. Feel free to comment if you disagree.

That problem with Fury is that he's mentally weak. He sits around feeling sorry for himself and is a mental midget who gets depressed and needs drugs and food to make himself feel better. You can get away with that in your 20s, but now he's pushing 30. I doubt he'd be in any kind of shape to seriously threaten any of the top heavyweights at this point.

Can’t help but like Fury, hilarious character.

That said I’m predicting that Fury will get under 300 lbs and look good in at least 3 comeback fights to get people believing again saying he’s back and gonna school Joshua. Then after Joshua knocks him out the SAME PEOPLE will turn around and say it weren’t the same Fury, ‘ the Fury that beat Klitschko would’ve beaten Joshua’ blah blah blah

They will try and frame him again. Everyone knows the man isnt what they want as champ but he is easily the best HW by a mile.

Can Fury just stfu about other fighters for once, he had one good win in Wlad in a boring fight but who else has he fought. Hes like 100lbs overweight, stfu, lose the weight and start fighting then he can talk again.

Fury can talk all he wants but he needs to get a license, then get back into training, then get into shape and have at least 2 fights at a high enough level to gauge his performance. He has a long road back and needs to man up and mature.

The critics will say, fight Wilder and clean up the division and then finally you can say what you like because you proved what you needed to. Problem is you gotta do that first and due to combination of mental instability, addiction and just generally being a d*** I don’t think you will
