Hammer just came to survive rather then Win.
Fought like a journeyman just wanting to go the distance so it looked good on his record. At no point in the whole fight did he ever attempt to win a round let alone the fight.
Under the circumstances, Povetkin looked as good as any one could look with a guy so negative.

I would still take Povetkin to push Wilder and Joshua all the way and maybe even beat them. Definitely beats Parker.

**** fight but not Povetkin's fault.
I've heard a lot boxers say that if you go in the ring with anybody and literally just try to survive and nothing else, you will get through 12 rounds because you know how to. That's all Hammer did.
That said, Povetkin is almost 38 now and been pretty inactive. I'd like to see him fight a top 10 fighter that comes to win and see what he really has left in him.
AJ seemed to struggle getting to grips with a smaller fighter that wasn't afraid of him in Takam. If Povetkin is still what he was a couple of years ago, he might give Joshua serious problems.

Joshua walks through all of Povetkin's punches with his hands down without even flinching. Joshua probably takes Povetkin's head off with a single uppercut. Joshua is like 100 times physically stronger than Povetkin and can manhandle and overpower him with ease

Having said that Povetkin did look very old in there.
