Cedric Peynaud, Conor Benn Fight Photos Gallery - Conor Benn came through hell and high water to keep hold of his unbeaten record. The 21-year-old was knocked down twice in the opening round of six scheduled by Cedric Peynaud and it looked for all the world like he would lose his unblemished ledger.

The ref having Conor 3 points up was ridiculous !

Conor is there to be hit and won't get far without massive defensive improvements. He was honest about his performance but it would be madness to stick him back in there for a rematch as some suggested. His lack of ametur experince shows.Tony Simms shouldn't have to tell him in the corner to put his left hand up to block the right !

I hope he can improve as he's exciting and seems a decent kid but I think his bubble may of burst.

Brits were claiming this kid is a blue chip prospect.

Going to be a fair few years before we see his potential. Heard he had zero boxing experience before turning pro.

That boy had heart! For someone that has never fought before as an amateur I wouldn’t mind if he goes the 35-0 bum route, last night I thought he was done in the first round, but he fought purely on heart, the scorecard was disgusting by the way but it doesn’t take away the fact that Benn faced adversity in his short career and he didn’t just lay down.

The fight was a great tear up. And I do think there should be a rematch.

The lad he fought was what 5-4 going in but could obviously handle himself. So Connor has got to see if he can separate himself from that level of competition even at this stage of his career.

I still think he's a good prospect. But the boxingscene flowsheet only reads - did well or got exposed.

He's a fun fighter. Doubt he's ever in a snoozer. I wish him the best. He adds more value to these matchroom cards than some of the team GB boys who are obviously fighting underneath their level. Yesterday shows that Benn is fighting at his level and having to improve before our eyes.

That was a bad call. I was beginning to like Conner going on the road doing things right, but now, not so much. It was ,hometown gift. I hate to see other guys getting shafted to protect the homey's zero.

What can we expect from a young guy with a serious experience void. Yes he’s in a section of his career where you are ‘supposed’ to rack up some obvious wins and so shouldn’t be going through fire so early etc, but it’s all in the learning experience that he needs.

You can see his performance as good or bad, it’s a matter of perspective when you consider his particular case. It will be interesting to see how this little war this early on will fare him on his learning curve.

Scores where off unfortunately but there you go...not shocked.
