Comments Thread For: Parker's Trainer: My Fighter's Resume is Better Than Joshua's!

Joseph Parker's (24-0) team is brimming with confidence as they inch their way closer to a heavyweight unification showdown against Anthony Joshua (20-0). Parker's WBO title and Joshua's WBA/IBF/IBO titles would all be on the line. Both sides have made concessions and Parker's trainer Kevin Barry recently told BoxingScene.com that they are basically just waiting on Joshua to agree to the deal. The fight would take place in the spring in the UK.

Considering the amount of gift decisions Joseph Parker has had, these people should really shut their mouths. Their trash talk is seriously lacking. Just be respectful and keep working and an opportunity should come.

Please stop equating close fights to gift decisions, whats up with these gift KO's AJ's getting? throws a flurry, everything misses and the reff stops it.

The trash talk is to build the fight ya mong, considering AJ has zero personality or does anything to try and build the fight apart from blabbering on about being humble, the ball is in JP's court in that respect.

Maybe Joshua won't be able to knock Parker out but I can't see Parker winning on points either.

If you think Aj has had some early stoppages but the best you can say is they had a long shot at a rally ... Takam for instance had lost every round (not so vs JP) Boxing experts (ok) have actually called the Parker fights as losses eg Ruiz and Fury. Parker seems a nice guy, the names are good, he's decent but perhaps shouldn't shout too loudly about those wins.

It's not what i think, everyone who isnt slurping on AJ's dong thinks the takam stoppage was ridiculous, is that what we do now nowadays? see a terribile stoppage like ward-kov 2 or AJ V Takam where takam was bobbing and weaving out of the way of his shots, a gassed AJ is missing everything and the reff stops it. thats fine because ' oh he was losing anyway so it doesnt matter' my god people are dumb.

What 'experts' think Takam and Ruiz won? are you gonna say johnny nelson or someone?

Parker's trainer should focus on making Joe lead the pace of the fight!

If his chin is as good as he thinks then he can fight aggressively at a frantic pace to tire AJ late and then up the pressure and go to the body to wear him out completely!

I think that's a solid gameplan if his chin holds up!

Other than that Joshua should flatten him, Parker is wide ppen whether he attacks or plays defense!

Should be a fun fight while it lasts!
