Brook needs to hang it up. The first time he faces a power puncher at the 154 pound division it's over. He never should have taken that GGG fight for the money. That pretty much ended his career and then the Spence fight was the icing on the cake.

makes some good points here, if hes comfortable in sparring and has no mental blocks theres no reason why he cant hop back in the ring

Comeback beat a lower level boxer and retire with a win, you became a world champion, which most boxers (or people for that matter), never accomplish. Go write a book and take promotional tours. Go enjoy life. You got all you could've gotten out of Professional Boxing.

Performing at the highest level in the rivals homeland, defending and attempting to unify in order to leave a mark in this sport is something that should be appreciated. James could of took the typical Brit route, stayed at home pick fights with the local jokers like E.U bum jr, Callum Smith ; George Groves, and made a lot of money but instead he chased after greatness -- didnt get it but its a lot more than what these frauds are doing.

His mental state is going the issue.

I think someone is already whispering negativity in his ear about going blind. Otherwise, I don't think he would have quite in the 11th round. Shows he thinking about losing his eyesight.

Well said. That's why the only British boxers I respect these days are Degale, Khan, Murray and Froch for his Super 6 days. They didn't stay in the comfort of their domestic safety net. They travelled early, fought the real threats over in America, consistently fought away from home against the odds often risking if all, got involved in wars and delivered some classic fights for boxing fans on both sides of the Atlantic.

Khan got iced on more than one occasion but showed heart and action in every fight challenging some decent names. Degale got battered, bruised had his bridge knocked out but still showed heart again challenging some decent boxers. Murray technically could have been a two times champion already especially when he went into the Lions den in Argentina to fight Sergio Martinez and got robbed. Froch is basically a modern day Rocky who lost to an all time great in Ward in the final of Super 6 did a fair bit on the international scene even though he got on it late.

People underestimate how good even fringe level contenders are in the U.S/Mexico/Argentina etc. Even those Latino fighters in the U.S that nobody has heard of are better than most of these domestic level UK boxers.

This is why I question why someone like Kell Brook didn't fight Rios, Alexander, Chaves, Bradley, unification with Vargas and now Cotto that he had 3 months to make weight for. Went out of the country once to get a close decision against Porter and held the belt hostage with a long list of Eurobums to defend against.

Groves ventured out once and lost to Badou Jack. Since then it's been all Eurobums as it was prior to the devastating losses to Froch.

Haha, yeah, because Medina and a past best Bute are something to shout about.

Eubank, Smith and Groves are better fighters. They would have been much bigger fights for the fans as well.
