Which Lomachenko performance was the best so far?

Which performance was the better display of Loma's skillset?

Russell Jr. fight was impressive with bodywork from Loma

Rigondeaux fight was dismantling of a master technician

Sosa fight demonstrated his offensive arsenal against aggressive fighter

Walters fight was all about soul taking and mental domination

    Martinez fight had beautiful KO

His boxing skills were definitely most tested against Guillermo Rigondeaux who himself is extremely skilled defensively and as a counter puncher. Contrary to what many others would state, Rigo still is the brilliant boxer that we've been seeing during his last 5 bouts. Perhaps he has declined a little bit since his bout against Donaire. However, he certainly wasn't shot or totally washed up and many were giving him high chances of beating Lomachenko, prior to the fight because of Rigondeaux's quality performances in his last 3+ boxing bouts.

However, what he was able to do against those other opponents, he wasn't able to do against Lomachenko. Not necessarily because Rigondeaux's skills / abilities declined more in his match against Lomachenko than against the likes of Moises Flores, Jazza ****ens or Amigasa, but because Lomachenko made that same version of Rigondeaux look bad by shutting him down in a way where he almost totally nullified Rigo's offense and created avenues to attack Rigo in a way where Rigo had no defensive answers or solutions. Which is something none of Rigo's past 5 opponents were able to do. Not because Rigo better abilities / skills when boxing against them, but because they themselves didn't have the abilities to be as effective as Lomachenko was against Rigondeaux, both offensively and defensively.

Rigondeaux is the same boxer in terms of boxing abilities which many of his supporters claimed he was, prior to fighting against Lomachenko. They can't now all of a sudden, retrospectively claim that Rigondeaux was never good to begin with. Thus, from a skill perspective, Lomachenko's performance against Rigondeaux has to be the best / most impressive in my opinion. Since it was widely regarded by most that Rigondeaux was the most skilled opponent of Lomachenko so far.

After that, It's a tossup between his performances against Nicholas Walters and Gary Russel Jr.

None, Arum paid them all off.

But in all seriousness, I think Rigo was a culmination of skill and Loma’s latest showcase. Loma’s skill level has evolved to such a level that he makes great boxers quit before they’re even badly hurt... It’s something special.

Rigo was a top p4p fighter and he outclassed him, only the blind couldn't see that Loma, despite his weight advantage, was faster, more technical and much more diverse in his skillset.

Walters was awesome to watch too - each round Loma turned up the temperature until almost boiling point in the 7th, Walters quit and rightfully so. He was looking at a TKO loss in the 8th for sure, he got hit pretty flush in the 7th and looked exhausted.

I voted the Russell jr. fight. I thought Loma won every round against a skilled boxer-puncher with lightning fast hands who tried his best.
