Comments Thread For: Billy Joe Saunders Can Resume Upward Mobility

By Cliff Rold - No one has ever called 28-year old UK native Billy Joe Saunders (25-0, 12 KO) the best middleweight in the world. He's not. Or, at least to date, there isn't much evidence to support an argument. Maybe one day he will get to prove otherwise. This Saturday (HBO, 9:40 PM EST/6:40 PM PST) is pivotal if he ever wants the chance to do so...

You didn’t hear it first..Saunders getting KTFO ! He’ll get caught dancing and start running, and trapped like a deer in headlights. So look for Lemieux vs Canelo. Don’t ask what happened to ggg-Canelo ?

I'd prefer Lemieux to win because I don't like Saunders AT ALL, but I can see him surviving Lemieux early and then passing the later rounds with pitter-patter and movement for a decision.

Saunders isn't a pariah only because of his recent fights, and lack thereof. He's gotta be one of the most obnoxious human beings in the boxing business, which is saying something given how stacked that field has been recently.

I always liked Billy Joe, he goes over the top with his crass comments and his behaviour with Willie Monroe jr's team especially disappointed me, however, he has the skills to beat Lemieux and this really will be a test of his ability as a world champion. When on form I think he is one of the best counter punchers in the game, if he has the fitness to move around and feint to land and avoid shots then i'm backing him to win. He wasn't 100% sharp against Monroe so i'm hoping he got some good sparring for this fight and is firing on all cylinders.

BLS may not be the best middleweight in the world but he beat that scumbag junior eubanks and totally humiliated him in the process and would do the same again and will do the the same to lemieux far far to slick for the plodding lemieux
