Rigo and it isn't even close. He was considered top P4P (undeservedly so) for years based upon his win over Donaire and a style of fighting that was conducive to longevity but not very exciting to watch. One of the most over-hyped fighters in recent history.

Gonzalez aged overnight and got beat moving up against an underrated fighter. Kovalev got robbed in his first fight with Ward and low-blowed into submission in the rematch.

Some people on here were claiming Rigo is p4p more talented than Floyd lol.

Rigo, the guy that was being dropped by journeymen.

Rigo is still a great fighter and P4P. Have you seen his size in weigh ins against his opponents? He's a small Super Bantamweight. This is like Mikey Garcia jumping to 147 against Spence. Are people going to say Garcia is not a p4p talent if he loses?

I totally understand why you would say that but I see it differently. Gonzalez is the only one who never quit. It's Rigo for me. Excellent fighter that threw his toys out of the pram because Loma was better than him.

They all lost to very elite guys

A fighter takes a risk...he gets clowned by hardcore boxing fans. Its funny at first but sad to carry on with it. Why would a fighter wanna take a big risk when he can avoid that and keep getting paid fighting lesser opposition

if he quit like rigo did then no.

i think this is what you're missing. people is not just dissing rigo because he lost to loma. people is dissing him because of how he went out.

he quit when it wasnt going his way and it wasnt like he was taking a major beating (in fact, he wasnt taking much damage). he was just getting outclassed and decided to end the fight by quitting.

Kovalev was looking for a way out, he basically quit.
Bending over when getting hit low is not quitting. Proper body shots make the fighter fall to the ground gasping for air, not bending forward and yelling out in agony after getting hit down there. He ate the right hand, sure, but that was over a minute before the stoppage, and with a proper recovery time he would have certainly recovered. Ward’s KO victory was far from certain had the ref done his job properly.

You saying he was looking to quit is your interpretation. He was in a bad spot, but I don’t see the quit part.

Rigo quit, Rigo fans are butthurt.
