I know that you guys are or were somehow involved with the sanctioning bodies.
Are there actual members on the board who are genuinly trying to improve how they are operating or is the public perception true, that everything involved with sanctioning bodies is corrupt and greedy?

Do you see them getting their **** together in the near future?

The sanctioning bodies are essentially middlemen hired by promoters to mediate between them. As much as it sucks that there are four world champions, considering how many promoters there are, it's amazing they can even all agree on four.

Money drives almost every decision made in boxing. It is a business after all. You can label that as greed if you wish. Corruption is another matter. The WBA, IBF & WBO bribery scandals are very well known and public. The WBC plays favorites like everybody else, but they've never had a bribery scandal because Sulaiman's father always refused to take bribes (he was independently wealthy and truly loved being the king of boxing, he felt bribes were beneath him).

There have been some improvements with the sons taking over the WBC & WBA in recent years. Mauricio has done a very admirable job. Gilberto inherited a giant mess with all of the super champion nonsense. He deserves kudos for wanting to clean it up, but it's not easy. The promoters loved it. So how do you get rid of something that all of your customers liked?

Lmao. Quitters shouldnt hold belts. Its amazing at the ppl who call themselves 'hardcores' still dont understand rigo fought all nobodies, who stayed in front of him and move in and out on straight line. Once he had a true talent like NoMasChenko in front of him he lands 8 punches, completely falls apart mentally, and quits lmao. Im seeing alot of russell jr talk too lmfao smh

Rigo is done now . No-one is gonna wanna fight him and his team has already shown they arent willing to take short money . He could beat a couple contenders and become a mandatory but his team wont see the big picture

              I think he retires soon
After what happened last saturday, Rigo absolutely needed his belt at 122lbs in order to entice others to fight him.

Yeah, like when Jacobs vs GGG was a "WBA" unification just to have the "regular belt" belt reappear for N'Dam vs Murata.

On another subject, listening to the radio in Montreal this morning, they said that the Stevenson vs Jack was all but confirmed in a "unification" fight. Did/will the WBA give to Jack is regular belt back? They also said that the WBC would order Alvarez vs Oleksandr Gvozdyk (number 2 ranked WBC, number 1 WBO) and the winners would then have to fight each other. The Stevenson vs Jack rumour has been brewing in Montreal for months now. Is all or any of that true?

So what you're basically saying is Rigo is a bum that fought other bums and Loma is some kinda boss for beating an old bum who came up 2 weight divisions. Is that right?

                    Rigo should retire!

Roc Nation did him no favors or Caribe!

No worthy opponents at 126 or 122 will want to fight especially now that he doesn't have a title!

Roc Nation did a lot for Ward who somehow got more money than the champ Kovalev, not once but twice, yet couldn't or wouldn't pay the man More than 400K?!

For such a talent and skillful fighter, his career has been very disappointing!

Some time ago ago i said that rigo's problems were only going to get bigger, i don't think he'll be able to make any significant money here, maybe in Japan where he wss offered to fight again after the amagasa bout, but not here. He doesn't even have a future as a trainer, noone would like to train seriously to become a boring, non money making fighter; i guess he could go back to cuba with whatever money he's got left or try another place as an amateur trainer, he's got nobody but himself to blame, he received one opportunity after the other and screwed them all up.
