This is not true in the slightest, they fight nothing alike in any department. Their foundations of how they approach boxing, and basis of what makes them successful is totally different.

You must have missed Floyd's fights with Diego Corrales, Manfredy, Hernandez, and Chavez.

Corrales was a fully fledged 130lber with a 90% KO ratio, in my opinion a harder fight than Rigo moving up from super-bantam.
