what makes Mexican fighters so great?

I know PR, Cuba, DR, Columbia, Argentina etc have produced some great fighters but Mexico seems to go above and beyond.

They have shown to box when need be ala Barrera, Marquez etc or switch it up and dig down and go to war, heck even the lower level Mexican journeyman have come thru at times with upsets over prospects.

Doesn’t seem like all fighters are willing to do that.

They aren't scared to take risks for greatness and work very hard. It's all about the work really. Put the work in, be patient and confident and results will follow.

They also have a ridiculous competitive drive, you hit them once they gotta hit you 3 times.

Because they fight and wear their pride on their sleeve.

People love fighters who come to fight and make you bow down to them and mexican fighters for the most part (other races do it too) come and try to impose that on their opponents.

Boxing can be seen as having respect for you opponent and having respect for your opponent means theirs something their you fear from him, coming to them and trying to **** it out says "fuck him he aint got **** for me" it admirable. Hates will say its dumb and what not but thats the bitch in them speaking.

nah but on the real another thing about mexicans is we have hard as chins/durability. Especially the dark skin mexicans with big backs, straight up Indios from the mountains, when I have fought them I may have won the fight but my gotdamn fists be hurting for days......

Simply put lack of economic opportunities in Mexico. Add in that boxers are revered as heroes there.
