Lomachenko the new King of Boxing.
Now the challengers will start poping up. Roman already mention Lomachenko in his post fight interview. Once ur then King they will want to dethrone u.

I'm not surprised. Fight was very intriguing on paper.
Don't know why PBC/SHO choose to pit their top fighters against nobodies.
Even second-tier fighters draw huge crowds.
It doesn't have to include names like Cotto, Canelo, etc.
Andrade vs Lara or Lara vs Charlo last October not only would have garnered the same ratings.

It was a great card. I liked what I saw from Chris Diaz. Looks like we got another Puerto Rican fighter to keep an eye on. He looked sharp and had power in both hands.

Lomachenko was just spectacular! Crazy to see him make another elite fighter quit like that. He's from another planet!

Because the cards on Showtime don't have the same distribution. The audience of potential viwers is much smaller.

The only time it had views above 1 million was during the Mayweather "free" trials where you could just watch fights by turning to the channel . After that the numbers went right back to 700k b/c the majority of cable subs arent with Showtime. HBO's drop in views is due to ****ty cards recently.

PBC network cards blew these ESPN numbers away, but again that was due to distribution so it's obvious why that happened.

There are 5 tiers of T.V. in the US.
                      1. Network -CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX (universal availability)

                      2. Cable - ESPN, FS1, Spike (high availibilty, but FS1 and Spike aren't in all markets/packages)

                      3. Premium Cable - HBO, Showtime (low availability, but HBO has so many subs that it's close to basic cable in distribution)

                      4. PPV (pay to play TV)

                      5. Streaming (still emerging, and there's lots of if piracy here)

Comparing ratings across these tiers isn't really helpful.
