    Oscar can't box with Floyd.

    That's obvious.

If that fight gets signed....Oscar had better just try and get inside and have a high workrate. Because if you notice.....He can get caught flat footed and he goes into a little shell where he shrugs his shoulders and absorbs punches.

Almost like he freezes up. He's a great boxer obviously....but in rythim. Floyd will expose that, and hit him with combinations to no end using lateral movement.

Not a good matchup for the Golden Boy.

He certainly has the chin, handspeed, size, and combination punching ability to bully Floyd into the ropes and start unloading on him, but he doesn't have the stamina to keep that up for 12 rounds.

I've always considered Leonard a better pure boxer.

        Hearns obviously the boxer-puncher.

The key to this fight is Floyds speed. Whether or not Oscar wants to admit it he has slowed down abit. If Floyd decides to box him and play stay away he will easily out work Osacr from the outside. I dont see Floyd carrying his power in the Jr Middles so Osacr will have the up in that department.

If Floyd plays it smart he will outbox the golden boy. If he decides to show his strength against him he may well be taken out by Oscar. I do agree that Oscar can not out box Floyd.

however, his in-ring intellect quite high

of course pbf is as well

oscar should be able to adapt and change his strategy if at first he has limited success

this by no means will be a gatti style beatdown

If Oscar gets inside and bullies Floyd, the fight won't even last 12 rounds, so Oscar's stamina wouldn't be an issue. Oscar also has a superior height and reach, and appreciable speed. Combine that with Floyd being slower at 154 and no one should be shocked if Oscar can win from the outside, even though I don't recommend Oscar to do that.

Floyd is just way too elusive.

Oscar is a great fighter and I've always praised him, but this is a bad matchup. If people actually thought the Whittaker fight was close, and Oscar didin't deserve that victory:

Wait untill they watch Oscar v.s. Floyd. If that turns into a technical track meet....forget it.

Like I stated, Floyd's quickness will be way too much for Oscar.
