Rigo should be a cautionary tale

Thurman, Spence, Porter et al over at PBC need to look at this and pick up their game. I know Spence has just arrived on the world scene so lets cut him some slack, but these others (not just limited to the guys I named) need to understand what just happened.

Rigondeaux, an exceptional amateur who came into the pro ranks on the back of a lot of hype, big promotional contract and early world title shots spent years, yes YEARS wasting his prime with a lack of activity and a lack of world class opponents. He finally got desperate and pushed the boat out too far.

So, the take home message is fight often (3 times a year minimum unless you are a genuine star like Pac or May)and fight the best. STop "holding out" being a "bidniz man" or think you deserve higher pay because at the end of the day, you will end up in your 30s desperate for the big fights you should have fought in your 20s.

Rigondeaux went up two classes... ESPN even acknowledged a fight night limit response out of respect for Rigo, Roc Nation was smart enough to have that documented, and even so, Loma was already a grown man coming into Featherweight when ideally he was already groomed and seasoned to start at Super Featherweight... meaning, by ESPN saying that narrative about a fight weight limit insinuates as well a know, he was draining for his debut at Featherweight, and lost beceause of it going against a seasoned vet. Loma didn't have enough power to handle Salido at Featherweight and GRJ... well...that dude is as small as Rigo so Loma didn't have to worry about tussle strength with these fighters...

So at the end of the day, Loma got lucky with Rigo breaking his hand in the first round...it's normal and those things happen to all, Floyd, Wilder, Nelo, Gatti, etc... and Rigo being 37, though same say he's older, shıt man Loma fans doing themselves a disservice with this karma that it's all getting better by the minute.

More to come!! and none of that has anything to do with PBC

so essentially you are saying golovkin should have listened to andre ward when he emailed him about a fight at 168, in 2015, for 2016 instead of playing it safe and chasing canelo?

wait for better videos to surface!! Karma!

you Loma fans could have integrity and show more respect, but it is what it is, and you guys will roll hard to make it seem as if Loma had a significant win Rigo broke his hand. no excuses of course, the fight must go on, and one folded, but we know the reason why. Rigo couldn't fire that left Perhaps only relying on that left was his achilles heel. ESPN acknowledging a fight night limit for Loma... LMAO

I am saying Rigo wasted the best years of his career and him being 37 now is the whole point. He debuted in 2009, had a couple of decent match ups until finally fighting a true top fighter in 2013. One may say he was working his way up the rankings.

Since then, in 4+ years, he has not fought another fighter of note till he fought Loma. All of this "everyone ducking him" is absolute nonsense. He continuously priced himself out of good fights and then left Arum and joined a joke promotion.

He only took this risky fight because he desperately needed the money and weirdly enough, had to work with Arum lol

It is not difficult to understand.

Part time boxers should never be in this sport.
I always root for their opponents.

Duran survived the fight against Hagler who seemed...I dunno, lazy? Perplexed? It was a weird fight but I understand your point.

As Ingle once said "You don't play boxing".

These self entitled modern fighters, who think they can just become the next Pac or May without any of the years of hardwork or sacrifice or EARNING their time at the top.

They will all be exposed soon enough.
