So 397 amateur fights , olympics , world championships and wbs fights that had no headgear count for nothing.

              Probably not...

Now when we consider that Floyd was in his late teens for his 2nd professional fight while Lomachenko was in his late twenties it makes for a better comparison.

Mayweather wasn't a welterweight in his 2nd pro fight. Mayweather became a pro at 19. Mayweather had less than 100 amateur fights. Dumb comparison. Dumb thread. Dumb poster.

No, he couldn't have. There's a reason even the most talented and accomplished of amateurs are fightings six and eight rounders against journeyman early in their career, and it's not simply to pad their record. That's where you learn to pace yourself down the stretch, something running/cycling/swimming all the miles in the world can't teach you.

Context would need to be added
-Does Floyd participate in as much amateur activity before going pro?
                      -Is Maidana proportionately smaller?

I most likely have to favor Floyd. Maidana had the right gameplan to make it close but Floyd was not his best at that age against Maidana.
