Degale is by far the most frustrating boxer

All that skill, fast, slick. Yet sits on the ropes, takes long breaks during rounds, doesn't throw punches.

    Frustrating.

Has been the same for years. I think it is just his instinct to go to the ropes for whatever reason.

He should go into the ring in heavy work boots. When he plants his feet he can punch and has good timing. He goes to the ropes and the only punch he seems have in his arsenal then is a left uppercut.

I do think he's had a rough couple of years though. He wouldn't have expected to get beat by Truax but I remember seeing him go life and death with some French lad called Mouhammedi years ago because he sent himself to the ropes.

I wonder how much that Jack fight took out of him, apparently a lot. Medina gave him a tough fight as well but that Jack fight he took a serious beating. Losing to Truax? He should consider retirement.

Other than Badou Jack he's more skilled than anyone hes faced as a champion and yet he's never won a single title fight convincingly, VS Dirrell I had it 113-113, VS Bute I had it 114-114, VS Medina I had him losing 115-113/116-112, and VS Jack I had him losing 116-110/117-109, and now he lost to Caleb ****ing Truax 116-112

His face has looked a mess in his last few fights so i agree maybe think about retirement.

At least he's facing reality, whilst he was winning he was completely deluded with some of his performances. He has been performing average for years to be honest. Only today has he acknowledged he needs to make changes, with all due respect to his trainer who seems like a nice guy, he needs a trainer not a cheerleader.

He has a poor engine and leaky defence. Not sure those things can be fixed at this stage.

Degale has good skills and I don't know if it's because of his (lack of) stamina that he keeps going to the ropes but he definitely does not need to fight a war with everyone when he could easily box their ears off.

I think he needed a better trainer to bring out the best in him, a few years back.
