Have said it before and will say it again.

This fight is Loma's to lose.
He has the size and age advantage PLUS he is a rare talent.

IF Rigo ( another talented beast) can make this remotely competitive and even last the 12 rounds with the handicap he would have done well.

IF the circumstances were reversed, i would be saying the same thing!!

Too bad he has to MOVE up 2 weight classes to make some decent retirement money. Too bad it is against Loma.

This is one i would not mind being wrong.

      Respect to both combatants.

Did you skip trigonometry? No offence cause I got my GED way past my teens and way past when I should have. As soon as an outstretched straight line drops or rises, in a rotation, the length is equally shortened to the target. Lom has to punch down which shortens his reach equally. Punching down and punching up shorten the length equally on a half moon slider. When one straight line is longer, it has the advantage on the rise and fall. It is uncommon for the taller fighter to have a shorter reach but that is the case with Lom. Rigo has the reach advantage. Someone can scientifically get into torso length and shoulder levels and the turning of the punch from the hip but the bottom line is one fighter has the reach advantage, the other, the height advantage.

Yes but lomas reach will actually increase from a practical perspective as his shoulders would LITERALLY be right at rigos jaw/kneck level meaning a perfectly straight punch would connect to rigos jawline where as if he was punching an equal height opponent the same straight punch wouldn't hit jaw but rather would hit chest.

Rigo has to punch upward to lomas jaw because hes shorter so it also means hitting lomas temples decreases his reach a few inches.

Conversely it can sometimes actually be an advantage for the shorter fighter esp if rigo makes it trench warfare,as if he hugs loma hell be dragging him down like a pitbull thereby wearing him down,& it can make it harder to hit rigos body also since loma has to punch way down to a moving target just like ggg vs canelo, ggg only landed 8 shots to his body to canelos 44 because its harder for bigger guy to go to the body of a shorter elusive target.

To me the biggest factor in this fight isn't even Lomas size but rather his activity in last few yrs as well as Rigo being way older.

If Rigo fights like its his prime I would probably pick him on points, but I think hes too old & inactive,so I think Loma on points or by 8th rd ko.

I think from different angles we are seeing a lot of the details in a similar manner. Anyone who doesnt see boxing as the science that it really is with all these and other details doesnt realize just how complex it is or what they are seeing. It is art and science and you are picking that up too. But yeah, that was a good analysis. I'd say Lom has 2-3 advantages and Rigo has 1-2 advantages. I just want a clear decision but if it is an entertaining evenly fought draw, that would be great for boxing.....over a very bad decision where one guy is robbed. That would not surprise me because they can milk the rematch.
