No question Rigo is number 1 pound for pound if he wins. Btw - writers let’s stop reinforcing bad behavior. Why is it you guys are quick to label a fighter as too high risk/ low reward before promoting them and subsequently when lesser fighters duck them you penalize the “high risk superior fighter?” Give great fighters credit for being so good other fighters want to just keep their career going. Why don’t we look at who was favored in the match before we say a fighter has any misses? That will ensure lesser fighters can’t weasel themselves out of the matchup and into an undeserved historical rating.

Yes, and without question. We have a 37yr old past his prime 122lber who has fought 3 rounds in the last 3 years, moving up two weights against a prime, bigger Loma, who some nuthuggers consider the best ever.

It will be the upset of the decade if it happens, and I hope it does.

He wouldn't become my number one PFP just by winning the fight. He has to look great winning the fight. If he looks good enough to me then I would make him number 1. It's impossible for me to say before the fight. Rigo could win in a fight where neither he nor Loma looked all that good and then he wouldn't be my number 1 PFP just because he got the win. He must look great to replace GGG as number 1 PFP on my list. Even then GGG could reclaim the number 1 spot on my list with an impressive win over Canelo next May.

Could not have said it better, a guy in his prime, two weight classes higher vs Older and smaller.....That makes you p4p huh?

Amen bro... What world does this guy live in. So a fighter on the P4P List goes up two
Weight classes and beats a top 1 to 3 P4P Guy? That is P4P proven. Clearly we have lost site of why weight classes are in place and what the P4P list is. If Rigo isn’t securely at the top, entity rankings are as suspect as a Adelaide Byrd score card.

you dont become p4p by being on your bike all the fight!!!! Rigo did not beat anyone significant besides Donaire, sorry NO. But no worries Loma will embarrass Rigo so much this article will be taken down sunday morning. WAR LoMA

They should interview Byrd before the fight to see who has already won on her scorecard.
