Dont Order The Tarver Hops Fight

Hopkins also gave the New York Daily a hint about what kind of style he'd bring to tonight's fight. Hopkins said: "The mongoose doesn't attack, He waits to get attacked. He's here or there. He plays off the cobra's strikes."

This confirms it will be a snoozefest

Of course this the way Hopkins is going to fight... This is how Hopkins has always fought since he started winning titles.

If you have played Fight Night round 2 you will notice they always say take it easy in the first few rounds to get your opponent tired then start on him in the remaining rounds... Well since B-Hop was on the front cover, you could imagine where the gaming developers got that idea from.

Anyone who thought Hopkins would come out throwing everything is crazy.

But its not just that, Tarver is as layed back as Hops. Tarver is a counter puncher himself. I can see them just looking at each other

      Can you Taylor Hopkins 3?
except less action in the later rounds.

Dont let Tarvers bet fool you

I think this fight will end quickly. Tarver will come out swinging. He did bet hopkins if he stopped in six he would get 250,000 dollars.

I don't know how much that money matters to Tarver. I think it has a chance to be a boring fight, but I hope someone actually does come out swingin.

Guys, you cant listen to a fighter because they say anything to throw a opponent off. I made a thread early yesterday saying how I just heard Hopkins live on the radio saying that he will only weigh in at 167 or 168 pounds but then he weighs in at 174.

They say or do anything to throw the opponent off. Before the Tito fight Hopkins talked about how he was going to attack Tito with a full assault and just physically pound on him but instead he came out and boxed.

Still though, if I had a choice, I would watch the Cotto fight

The thing to think about is Tarver saying he'll knock him out before the halfway point of the fight and him actually putting money on it.
Tarver might make it good by pressing the issue, but he might not either.
If he sees he can't knock him out he might just start thinking, "Forget the knockout. Let me go after the W."
