Why didn't Loma move up in weight to fight Mikey?

Was Garcia willing to take that fight at 135 or what was the reason that fight didn't happen?

Rigo’s an easier win. Why not?

Garcia just fought on July 29, 2017. I don't think he wanted to fight again this year. I don't think Loma was desperated enough to move up so fast like Rigo had to do. They are trying to build the match up. I think they might fight in 2018. Loma talked about moving up to 135.

Loma is heading to 135 next year according to some sources.

I think they (Loma's team) wanted to give it some time. Unfortunately, by the time Loma is ready, Garcia may too big for 135. Hope they cross paths soon, while it's a prime opportunity.

                That's what I'm fearing...
I think Loma believes in himself enough to do it but I don't think his team is going to be too hyped about it. Garcia is a lot bigger and they're trying to build a star in Loma. It could end up like Golovkin/Ward with a lot of posturing but no real intent. Hopefully not. Loma could have a legendary career if he was able to beat both Rigo and Garcia.

No joke. Boxing is headed towards its biggest names fighting once every two years now.

He still has some unfinished business at this weight division.
