He won't he said he would weigh 126)127 on fight night, you don't need to worry about that

Rigo looks only a little fuller in the most recent images I’ve seen. 126-127 sounds about right. Guille looks healthy, but definitely in shape. I’ve said it many times, the guy is a specimen.

Loma-Rigo didn't need much promotion because the venue had been quickly sold out. In the same way, it doesn't need any trash-talking. The names and the way the event has been marketed (for casual fans), as a historic confrontation between two of the greatest amateurs of all time and now two of the best boxers P4P, is more than enough for most boxing fans to get hyped. Even them blowing kisses at each other at the press conference wouldn't curb my enthusiasm.

I'm not disappointed by this mild trash-talk and I don't think there is genuine bad blood between them. Real recognize real and they have a lot in common after all. Both amateur legends, supremely skilled, fast-tracked in the pros, willingness to fight anyone, etc.

But still it would have been nice to see both men stay classy and show more respect to each other in the media instead of the usual pre-fight trivialties. Special fight, so flip the script and let your fists -or feet...- do the talking. Last paragraph is the reason why everyone (well, maybe not around here!) respects Golovkin.

Let them talk trash; it's good for the hype and good for the fight! After all, it is a fight, no?

If Loma wins like he is runni.g through Rigo, it's because Rigo is not in his proper weight class. Loma already has a big advantage, he better win.

If Rigo wins, Loma better train more.

I think Loma was hyped up well. Rigo had no hype, but he was the avoided one, other boxers knew he really was trouble. Only brave Donaire dared to test him, in the right weight division.

We don't know if Rigo can carry his power up, but it shouldn't matter if he will adapt the "Cuban style" to a T and just cruise to win on points. He should not be called the jackal but the slippery eel.

Well, the venue is very small, and probably will just be filled up mostly by Ukranians and some Cubans.

Anyway, it will be an interesting fight. Let's see if the smaller Rigo can pile up the points against Loma.
