WBA "regular" cruiserweight world champion, Yunior Dorticos of Cuba, is very confident that he will scored a knockout over IBF champion Murat Gassiev in the semi-finals of the World Boxing Super Series (WBSS) tournament. The fight was officially announced on Tuesday to take place in Gassiev's backyard of Sochi, on February 3. The winner will be heading to the final bout of the WBSS cruiserweight tournament against the winner of the WBO, WBC unification bout between Oleksandr Usyk and Mairis Briedis.

          Who you got?

I'm picking the Cuban, that reach, hand speed, volume and power i think will be too much for the defensively basic Gassiev!

This fight is live action.. very tough pick I like Dorticos for an early stoppage and Gassiev for a decision / late stoppage.. really can’t see this going the distance, the winner is gonna have a rough putting against the Briedis v usyk winner, which will probably be usyk who will go on to win the tournament, honestly if these fights are close I’d like to see the losers from the semi finals fight each other on the under card of the finals...

Cruiserweight a seriously stacked division, probably cause most the top guys not American they don’t get the credit they deserve, the winner of this tournament has a good claim and lb for lb King and can probably move up to heavy weight and eat a title shot, I know a lot of Brit’s are gonna lose it on what I’ll say next but it’s actually true.. usyk moves up he had a change to beat, Joshua as well as Parker and wilder even... don’t believe me watch how he whipped joe Joyce who by the way is a very talented fighter, would like to see him fight Joshua down the line as well.. but yeah you’d heard it here first usyk winning a heavyweight world championship even if it’s a “regular” or “interim” title I can see see him pulling it off

I’m British snd Usyk is probably my favourite active boxer. He has the skills, ring savvy and overall boxing chutzpah to dazzle most of the top ten heavyweights but I honestly can’t see him dethroning either Jodhua or The Windmill, heavyweights who aren’t static and cumbersome. It’d be a superb spectacle while it lasts though.

Now this is a ****ing fight!
Can't wait I've got Dorticos by decision but Gassiev is an absolute tank.

Hoping for an Usyk vs Dorticos final I feel Dorticos causes Usyk a lot more problems than the rest.

Dorticos is savage! But I'm rooting for Gassiev because Dorticos ducked Shumenov and had him wait until Shumenov had to retire due to injuries. Shumenov put in a lot of work for to get to Dorticos. I expect Dorticos to win though by style alone
