This childish myth of boxers rehydrating 15-20 pounds has to stop.

Pretty sure Gatti rehydrated near 20 lbs in one of his fights. Can't remember who. It's very possible. Think Crawford rehydrated around 20 against Gamboa too

      Guy above me put it

Boxers sometimes get on the scale in their shoes and street clothes. It's a nice stat to show but I wouldn't put any faith in it.
Its true that sometimes there are in more clothes then weighin but there are soooooooooo many exsamples of guys gaining 15-20 or little more that's its FACT now.

I agree, it's just that the prefight weigh in could be mandatory, then we wouldn't have to guess a fighters weight on fight nite.

well unlike you I'm hilarious. And yeah just by looking at him I trust intuition. You got any concretely proven evidence he doesn't rehydrate that much?

Yea don't see that. The more people that have used it to discredit a fighter or give another a break has guys who put on a lot of weight not wanting to do it.And since its just a TV(used to be just HBO)thing they just say no.

Yea it was Gamache fight. And he got hurt that was the hardest 3 punch combo I might have ever seen.I mean ALL 3 landed with full force. And it was not one of those Griffen v Paret,Cooney v Norton or mercer v Morrison fights the ref HAD NO CHANCE to get inbetween. It was just a 3 punch combo that he put everthing into and ALL LANDED FLUSH AS POSSABLE.
