I think Rigondeaux is the better fighter but I'm picking Lomachenko to win. Rigondeaux earned his boogeyman reputation so I hope if he loses he gets the fights he deserves in his actual weight class. Lomachenko on the other hand is going to have to fight a legitimate top 130 pound fighter next.
Will Rigondeaux get better opportunities if he loses?

I think retirement is on his mind. Can't help but think he sees this as a bite the bullet situation at this stage of his career because he could've taken the fight at 126 a couple years back when he would've had a more realistic chance of winning.
Now he's getting on a bit and was shamelessly ducked by many of the top 122 guys so there's no much more he can do, respect to him for going all out like this.
This will be controversial but i'd say he's the goat little man if he pulled this win off.Comment

He said in a recent interview that he has no plans to retire any time soon. Hopefully after this fight he can get more fights at 122.I think retirement is on his mind. Ok but about a month ago he said he might retire after Lomachenko so it's definitely something he's considering at least if he said that. Not sure he'll go through with it but my point is it's on his mind and i'm not surprised with all he's been through over the years.Comment
