Where does Ali go from here?

He's a title holder at 154 and is coming off a great win over Cotto, a fight nobody gave him a chance in. I don't think 154 is a right division for him, all the top guys would walk through him and snatch that title. Think he should vacate the title and get back down to 147, maybe rematch Jesse Vargas. He'll be a handful for all the top guys if he's focused and fights like he did last night.

He goes on to get his ass kicked against all the top fighters at 147 or 154

Pretty much. I think maybe he might be able to get away with a relatively safe defense against Liam Smith. Or maybe he can fight Kell Brook at 154. But otherwise he needs to get the hell out of the division ASAP. Charlo would murder the dude.

If he cant secure a low risk/big reward opponent at 154, he should move down to 147. He looked chubby at 154.

Vargas rematch is a bad idea as Vargas had his number and Ali had no answers. He took a chance against Cotto and it paid off, but I feel as if every big fight at 154 will be a gamble. I don't know that he's got the skill to keep that up. 147 would be greener pastures as there's plenty of room to maneuver, competition-wise.

Are there any other 154 fighters on HBO?? I can't think of any.

We'll probably see Ali vs Kamegai next.

Kell brook will probably end up fighting and beating him.

How does Vargas have his number? Ali was beating him clearly until he got caught.

Move down and fight at 147, maybe Danny Garcia or Thurman would be good match ups style wise. Porter and Spence would KO him
