Prime Canelo Alvarez vs Prime Pernell Whitaker

Before you start referring to Floyd Mayweather's Majority Decision over Alvarez, keep in mind that Canelo was extremely inexperienced when 2 of the 3 judges voted against him.

Also remember how badly Whitaker crumbled when he fought a true striker in Felix Trinidad. Whitaker literally sat down 6-10 times to avoid being pummeled.

All that being said, pretty obvious that Canelo is actually a hybrid of Whitaker and Tito. Canelo's defense and ring generalship is some of most underrated skills ion Boxing history. Also remembering that Whitaker had almost no power and would be walked down vicously by Canelo.

Whitaker and Alvarez would be a 154 -155 fight to accommodate Whitaker, who was 154 champion.

    Outcome:

Canelo KO4 Whitaker or win by DQ even sooner if they had a ref that was intolerant of Whitakers attempts to avoid a fight.

The bold is hilarious. Canelo fights nothing like either one. With that being said, I don't know if Whitaker matches well with Canelo. I don't know if there would be KO but probably a few KDs.

WTF man Whitaker was a natural lightweight fighting at 154.

If Whitaker was allowed to drain a green Canelo to 152 he shuts him out.

Whitaker was a defensive stylist that I don't think Canelo would have figured out.
            Whitaker by a boring decision.

I think Canelo would win by late round KO. He has improved tremendously since his loss to Mayweather and is now a hell of a fighter. Canelo has an iron jaw and Whitaker's best punches wouldn't hurt him.

whitakers prime is below 154. so this makes no sense.

they would never be in the same weight class
