at which point did i ever say canelo was in trouble?? i said he was hesitant to close out the show because he knows that cotto still posses a threat!! the experience cotto has is what made canelo cautious.

of course you did, you swore Cotto would out-box the Ginger, little did you know, that by Cotto giving a good account of himself against Mayweather, compared to Canelo's performance, does not equate/translate to Cotto doing the same against GGGinger....thus you trying to convinced yourself Cotto won just save face GTFO.

So it's 1 thing 4 someone to say "he ran,so he lost" as most gggs fanbs now say,

based on the fact they believe fighters should emulate rockem sockem robots not boxers, but its laughable 4 them to claim that, then to say Lara beat him too.

Lara is the only fighter who can be classified as an actual "runner" vs Canelo,he came into the fight extra confident about having just kod angulo & beating trout ,& in the beginning of the fight he was actually trying to fight, but as soon as he got blasted to the ribs he instantly said no mas then proceeded to LITERALLY "run" the rest of the entire fight without unloading ANY of what canelo did to ggg all throughout the fight.
Lara and Canelo shared the same fault. Too many minutes of inactivity. It cost Lara his fight and it cost Canelo his fight.

I had it a draw. Thought both fighters had dueling bad game plans. Cotto's fight plan was to fight on the back foot, and try to trap Canelo in a mistake so he could counter him, tried to take advantage of Canelo's slow feet and movement. Canelo was afraid to fully engage, so he was fine stepping slowly towards Cotto, and countering his jab, didn't try to pressure him, and can't cut off the ring to save his life kept his right hand plastered to the side of his head for damn near the entire fight. Thought both fighters did enough to earn a draw based on the way I scored it, with Cotto boxing circles around Canelo, and Canelo landing the cleaner shots. Neither fighter did enough to win. Overall, the fight wasn't as exciting as it could have been, had Canelo stopped being so defensive and engaged a little more, and Cotto boxed a little less and chose more spots to sit down on his punches.

Having said all that, I was not and am not interested in seeing a rematch. It will always be a close fight, due to their styles, and Cotto doesn't get a win unless he knocks Canelo out. With the judges and points already leaning toward Canelo, it's a waste of time. And before you say I'm hating on canelo, let me point to Canelo vs Trout (I thought was a draw), Canelo vs Mayweather (114-114 scorecard), Canelo vs Lara (117-111 score card, I had Canelo winning by one round) Canelo vs. GGG (draw)

Imo Canelo dominated Lara & at LEAST deserved his draw vs GGG.

I think too many posters on here that claim ggg was robbed, don't actually judge fights using the 4 basic criteria to judge fights, they say things regularly to PROVE they don't judge fights even SEMI fairly. They say it all the time when they claim the challenger needs to "take the champs belt" ,"Canelo ROBBED ggg","Canelo lost because he ran" etc.

Judges NEVER are supposed to use ANY of the criteria these fanbois claim.

They're supposed to judge fights as each rd being its own fight,& which fighter is the most EFFECTIVE when analyzed against his opponent using the 4 basic criteria set forth by the Nevada state commission. Ggg was only more EFFECTIVE at 1 criteria of the 4 (agression) but even in this area his agression was ENTIRELY ineffective,as despite canelo supposedly "fighting for short amounts" he landed the MAJORITY of all the best punches, way better accuracy,& miles better DEFENSE which is 1 of the 4 criteria also.He also
managed 2 land more power shots & 45 shots to gggs chin to gggs 8,& 44 body shots to gggs 8.

Watch any mayweather fight, then Canelo vs GGG,& it'll instantly tell you why I think Canelo won. Mayweather was considered as big a runner as they come, every single fight he: clinched non stop, used elbows nonstop,& most the time" barely fought for short amounts a rd as they claim now about canelo",yet he still went 49-0 & rarely lost any cards.

Because per the rules,he barely exchanged punches yet his Defense was impeccable & he still managed to consistently outland his opponents.

Canelo focused on avoiding Cotto's left hook in training because he and his team considered that to be the main threat. But the fact is that he got tagged a few times and Cotto did not hurt him. I think the rematch would have been much easier for Alvarez and possibly ending in a knockout.

It was a good fight, but Cotto did not land more punches. The punch stats say otherwise.
