Horn was Manny's 1st fight as part of the world tour. He was planning to fight after it and still plans to far as we know. The fight with Crawford would be his swan song, his last one.

of course Arum wants to throw Pacman to the wolves. He's been pushing for this pass the torch fight with Crawford for a few years now. But if Pacman wants to be in politics/part time fighter and doesn't want to fight any of the top guys at 147, passes on a rematch with Horn and now worried about being pressured to fight 140lb crawford then for god sake just retire. He doesn't owe anybody any more fights but if you do want to keep fighting can't complain that fans and your promoter want you to fight the top guys at your weight.

This is untrue Subzeroed. Check the threads-I was one of the Floyd fans that wanted the last fight to be GGG, not Conor. The threads are all still here and will prove this.

He should face Crawford for the following reasons:

Manny is still fighting and not retired.
Floyd has retired.
JMM has said repeatedly he will not fight him again.
Both Crawford and Manny are TR fighters-promoter prefers in house fights rather than other promoters
Both are at WW
Manny is still the #7 ranked ww by the TRBR.


Now, a potential beating is just kind of "icing on the cake", for lack of a better term.

I get what you are saying: He's still in the game, so he should fight someone meaningful. I personally don't think Manny should fight anyone. He needs to retire. He's wayyyy past it and will never be a champion again. there are no top guys in his division whom he can beat. At this point, he can get seriously hurt and be adversely affected by it for the rest of his life. I get no pleasure from it. True, but it also served as a tune-up and a gauge to see what Manny has left on his way to facing Crawford. We all saw that his tank is damn near empty. A prime Manny would never have allowed himself to be mauled by a clown like Horn. He would have destroyed him. A fight with Crawford would be a massacre. Do you really want to see that, Dunn? It would be fucking pitiful!

I'm fine if he retire. That said, he hasn't. the fact is he is #2 at WW in the WBO rankings, Crawford is #1. He turned down Horn. Horn/Cochran winner is required to fight Crawford after. The next logical fight is Crawford (assuming he wins)/Manny.

If he gets beaten badly and KTFO, so be it. It's not about whether we as fans like it or not. It's likely I would be equally happy as you would be upset. So if he retires, cool. If not, none of these BS world tour mismatches and failed cherrypicks.
