Sitting or Kneeling regarding the USA flag is not disrespecting the flag if you know your flag codes.
Wearing a T-shirt or bandanna or any other apparel with the flags stars & stripes however is against the code.

Most of the "hurt feelings" came from Mr. Trump injecting his
