I dont know if this is a repost, but floyd is now the #1 RING welter

I think this further entails in my opinion that due to the fact that before Judah got humiliated in the loss to Baldomir, Judah was considered a tough challange for Mayweather, I think the Ring changed its rankings by placing legitmacy (and rightfully so in my opinion) to his win over Judah.

Alot of you discount this win, I dont, i saw mayweather seriously struggle in the early rounds, get knocked down and all that. Mayweather then had to use his intelligence to figure out an in shape/focused Judah.

I agree that Mayweather hasnt fought a "true" welter, but the fact is, how many of those true welters will be lucrative meaningful fights? I dont give a damn about Margarito because his resume isnt enough in my opinion.

With so many people in this sport moving up/down, its hard to fight a legit fighter at any weight who is actually at the weight they should be at in the first place. This is my opinion though, nothing more.

If The Ring can't stick to their own guidelines, their rankings are no more legit than the big 4 organizations...

Doesn't The Ring say that to earn the #1 spot you have to beat their #1 guy? Baldomir beat the Man and hasn't fought since - how can he be penalized when he has a fight coming up?

Maybe I've misinterpreted The Ring rules, but I always thought you had to beat the former Ring champ to be the new one - and if the old one retired or left the division they designated another fight to determine the new #1.

As much as I don't want to admit it, it's something he well deserves.

being ranked numba 1 doesnt mean who u beat..its ur overall point system...becuase he has alot of wins n is undeafeted n along with his KO% it all adds up...jus like how arthur abraham is above jermain taylor in middlewight.
