NEW YORK Errol Spence Jr. has drawn rave reviews for each of his past two performances. The powerful southpaw became the only opponent to knock out Leonard Bundu when he won their IBF welterweight elimination match in the sixth round 15 months ago in Brooklyn, New York. Roughly six million viewers watched that fight, which NBC broadcast from Coney Island's Ford Amphitheater.

Now that he has a strap and is fighting in January, 3 fights should be easy this year.

Not sure who his mandatory is, but it should be easeasy to make after the Peterson fight.

He said “could’ve” not “should’ve” big difference. Nice try trying to create controversy though

Here is a guy who no one it seemed wanted a part of because he was high risk and low reward.

Now that he has a strap, it seems no body is interested in wresting it from him.

Curiously still regarded as low reward even with a strap.

Hopefully things look up for him in the coming year.

Its boderline criminal he has not been active since he stopped Brooks.

Respect to Lamont for stepping up. Hopefully he is getting paid well for his troubles.

Even though he probably couldn't beat him, I think Porter would give Spence a good, tough fight. Aren't those guys both with PBC or no?

Too bad he couldn't build on the momentum from the Brook fight.

Peterson at WW isn't exactly what I was envisioning this far out from that fight....I suppose it would have sufficed as a homecoming fight after having to travel to win the fight but it seems so far removed now that it's more difficult to not be a little sour on the matchup. anyway, hope more happens in 2018 for him

One thing is certain, IF they all continue to win and impress, he is on a collision course with the likes of Thurman and Terrence Crawford.
He could even end up in Light Middle at some point.

it kinda seems difficult to see a haymon fighter fighting more than twice a year. the big names are fighting once a year
