There is no single best or greatest ever. It's hard to proof factually. You can make an argument for several guys. It's a matter of opinion.

That said, Roy was a great fighter.

He is retired? If this is true this will be a day I mark on my calendar every year from here forward and celebrate like the fourth of July.

I will call it "Thank you Jesus, WTF took so long Day".

Roy's definitely the best fighter of this generation but I don't think he's the GOAT.

I'd say he's up there though. Maybe top 10-20.

As soon as I seen "scientific proof"i knew I disagreed.Boxing is LAST SPORT you can predict with a computer or mathematical equation.Matter a fact I don't think that works alone in any other sport even baseball.

Who needs proper technique when you can just hold your hands behind your back, laugh, and then knockout your opponent anyway?

The only knock against Roy is that he fought too long and probably missed out on being recognized by many as the best ever.

I can't see any boxer beating prime RJJ P4P
Roy lack of better comp will hurt him more than fightin too long(well not heath wise).I think he is easy ATG and HOFer but I think his lack of great fighters really just a possible pre prime B hop and Toney(who deserves no excuse)maybe you can trow Tarver in there if you wont but even that was a close win#1 of course. He did beat a lot a good to very good fighters though.

What's really interesting is that this isn't everything. The Macarinelli KO isn't there, and I felt that one was brutal.
