Deontay Wilder will/would destroy Anthony Joshua.

    No doubt in my mind.

Just ask yourself, what do most of AJ's opponents have in common? Are they flat-footed? Yes. Do they have high-held guards? Yes. Do they just try to cover up while he unloads? Yes.

Deontay Wilder will do none of those things. AJ has NEVER fought anyone with movement. He just never has, it's a fact. Everyone has been predictable. Even going back to his early fights, just flat-footed plodders.

He will not have a clue when it comes to dealing with Wilder's crazy, unorthodox style.

Idiots will tark rubbish but I'm 100% confident. AJ has a punchers chance, that's about it.

I agree, and if the day comes when Wilder unifies the belts, we can all have that debate about "raw power, speed and athleticism" vs "schooled/trained fighters".

As a Wilder fan I like his chances, but there is one major issue I think he has (and it is something that would come up against Fury also although he is not a big puncher) in the Joshua fight.

Wilder fights very open and with his athleticism for his size he has a huge radius that he can punch from while other guys have problems really connecting good consistently.

A guy of Joshua's size even if he is slower and less fluid does have the range to be able to catch Wilder coming in or going out in spots that he normally is safe.

Johnson and Takum used movement. They weren't flat-footed plodders. And AJ beat them.

Just make sure you put a lot of money down on Wilder because AJ will be the favourite. You'll be quids in, right?

I don’t trust either of them both have way too many flaws to be considered a dead cert. I used to favour AJ to get to Wilder before Wilder got to him as he’s more compact but Wilder’s edge in speed could be the key to landing that big shot first, it’s a straight shootout IMO.

C’mon man, the fat, overweight Kevin Johnson AJ fought is the definition of a plodder
And Takam ain’t exactly a mover, he has quite quick feet for a HW but is only effective coming forwards and he only comes forward in straight lines.

Wilder's a scarecrow with amateur form. He's a dead man the first time he gets cracked right.

Flat-footed and standing still when AJ unloads. As I already said.

Johnson has always been that shape to be honest. And no, he was moving around the ring like he always did. Not exactly the definition of a plodder.

Takum was always moving on the backfoot against AJ, he never really came forward for the whole fight, so I don't know what you were watching.

I think you should give the fight another watch. AJ was clearly hitting Johnson when he was on the move, and not just when he stopped against the ropes.
