Keith Thurman suddenly flailing his hands during exchanges: Good or Bad?

For Thurman ducks on the chest of his opponents then he flails his punches all of a sudden in hoping a big right hand or left hook lands, but believe it or not it was one of the key moments where Thurman weathered the storm against Porter and stopped his onslaught where he landed big right hands and lefts.

But is it good or bad against Spence?

He can't make many mistakes against Spence and not pay for it with a KO loss. Spence will KO Thurman if they ever fight in my opinion. Thurman doesn't take body punches well and Spence is a great body puncher.

He just needs to make sure he doesn't take too many of those body punches from Spence.

Pretty much anyone fighting it out with Spence is a bad move at 147, I guess Thurman could (and probably should) throw it in to mix things up but he would need to be judicious with it. Just like setting his feet to throw with real authority, he needs to get Spence's respect but that will leave him an easier target for Spence so he needs to mix that in but at the right times.

He needs to box Spence and he has some decent boxing skills but Thurman is not some kind of defensive wizard that is just going to be able to freeze out a guy like Spence if that guy is determined (Spence seems the hungrier fighter). Still Since can be hit and Thurman has power so if he can find the right mix of moving while standing his ground to make Spence pay he could make it work.

It is a good fight, I think Spence will win but Thurman deserves a lot of respect because he is a pretty damn good fighter.

He'll be on his bike and if he can avoid body punches then he has a chance. Judges often score movement these days.

He just has to make sure he's moving and landing but I still think Spence will close the distance and break him down.

However according to Thurman the fight will not happen in 2018. I think if it does happen it will be late 2019.

                I think its good
Those flailing punches can be hard to read since Thurman tends to throw them at awkward angles with good speed, theyre a little wide but for sure it will be enough to suprise Spence.
