There was almost a second meaningful middleweight fight made for December 16. Keith Connolly, Sergiy Derevyanchenko's manager, told BoxingScene.com that the unbeaten middleweight agreed to face Demetrius Andrade on the Billy Joe Saunders-David Lemieux undercard December 16 in Laval, Quebec. The deal was almost finalized, but Andrade withdrew from negotiations because the undefeated contender didn't think he had enough time to prepare for such a difficult fight against Derevyanchenko (11-0, 9 KOs).

I wouldve loved to see that fight but Andrades waiting to cash out vs a name like the rest of these cherrypickers.

Dammit. How many fights has Andrade backed out of now? So sick of the ducking within American boxing. They expect to be paid better than foreign fighters, and given more recognition as being the best, and yet they aren't willing to even fight the best foreign fighters either at all, or unless every single thing is in their favor. Andrade just ****ing fought, how could he not be in shape to prepare for 12/16? Such bull****.

But fine, if that's really the issue, and it's not a duck, then January or February should be perfect. Otherwise, I am done supporting Andrade. Just when I was starting to like him, too, after saying he would fight anyone. Made me forget him dropping out of the Charlo fight, for a second. But now we have a trend with Andrade at the center of it. If Deryvanchenko is not his next opponent, Im done supporting him.

You can't earn a lot of money fighting Derevyanchenko (I guess only some hardcore boxing fans know who he his) and you can easily get beaten by him. So why risk?

only 3 week camp for Drevyechenko, that would be respected considering the level of threat, it said though that Andrade agrees to fight the Ukrainian but the preparation should be a full camp. I won't criticize Booboo until I get a word from him, but I get why he pulled out.
