People say I didn't deserve this fight, but they haven't been paying attention to my career," Ali said.
                His last 6 fights:

Johan Perez - Biggest claim to fame was beating Paul Spadafora. His other 'biggest' win is a toss up between Steve Forbes and Yoshihiro Kamegai.

Jorge Silva - Fought Ali riding high on a 3-10 streak.

Saul Corral - The record of his past 6 opponents before Ali have a combined record of 70-50.

Jessie Vargas - Jessie Vargas knocked Ali out in the 9th, ending a 5 year KO drought for Vargas.

Francisco Santana - A good win for the level he was at.

Luis Carlos Abregu - Probably his best win. Abregu on paper had a good record and was the veteran to Ali's greenhorn.

It feels like Ali has regressed since the Vargas fight. Perez, Silva, and Corral are definitely step downs from Vargas, Santana, and Abregu.
