Why is Schaefer surprised no US TV got behind a tournament with some second rate super middleweights or an irrelavent cruiserweights??

Neither of which had any American fighters invited.（Rob Brant was an unknown middleweight）No surprise HBO and Showtime passed.

It's disappointing for American boxing fans. Both cruiserweight semifinals are unifications and Groves-Eubank on the SMW side is very interesting as well. Smith-Braehmer won't excite any Americans, but that's still 3 of 4 fights that are great matchups.

I subscribe to both HBO and Showtime specifically for boxing. I thought Showtime had some pretty good matchups this year, even if not all of them delivered. Off the top of my head they aired:

Joshua/Klitschko (Live) I think HBO had it delayed
Jack/Degale
LSC/Frampton II
Broner/Garcia
Spence/Brook
Charlo/Lubin
I'm pretty sure those were on Showtime, I'd have to check to be sure, I'm probably missing some. I was really excited to see Charlo/Lubin matchup (Even though it was over quick) as I wish more boxers would put their 0's on the line on the way up, this way an "L" against a quality opponent wouldn't be viewed so negatively by the public.
Regardless, I really wish that the WBSS would be shown live in the U.S. Perhaps somehow the TV Sports Gods could figure out a way to cut 1 or 2 of the 17,000 College Football games they televise and give us the WBSS?

If US TV networks are NOT investing or interested in the only American HW with a belt/style, why would they be investing or interested in WBSS?

worst case scenario I will watch live on their website. They should bu the Stevenson fight on that same date since it is getting pushed back, and air this fight before it due to the time difference.
