Who exactly is Yves Ulysse Jr. highly regarded by? I might not be as up to date on all of boxing as I have been but I have never heard this cats name uttered once by anyone.

Here in Montreal, he is (whatever that means). Let's say he is an up and coming prospect going against Cletus who just delivered a fan friendly fight on HBO recently. I must admit that we might be "overhyping" Ulyssse's potential just a tad bit too much here in Montreal.

Fair enough I really had no clue who he was, but if he wins this then I could see him being highly regarded.

You never know with prospects anyway he could be awesome.

Though I didn't see Ulysse's last fight, a loss versus Steve Claggett, I've read and heard that it "resembled" Canelo vs GGG where Ulysse boxed, moved and landed the cleaner shot while Clagget kept moving forward. Some people in the Montreal boxing scene felt that Ulysse got robbed, that the judges didn't reward his movement and cleaner punches (the same people that didn't reward Canelo's movement, oh the irony). I hope Ulysse has learned from that fight because Cletus will be fighting the same way as Clagget!

All I know is that on when you are perceived as an up and coming prospect and a network like HBO finally puts you on TV, you can't afford to stink up the joint so Ulysse better show up on December 16th!

As a side note, I'm really afraid that BJS will outboxed Lemieux (I hope not) and that the local scene will cry robbery because BJS boxed and used movement because we all know any movement his frowned upon nowadays!

It is kind of weird that he is the only boxer in years to get two dates on HBO just one month apart. And that they never once mentioned he has been busted for PEDs, and that that probably has something to do with how effective his come forward style is, as well as the fact he once dead-lifted 400 pounds.

Besides that all that though, he was very exciting, and if he can translate to top opposition and still land hurtful shots, then I hope we see him every month (under strict VADA testing).

He might become for HBO the new "Provodnikov" for a hot minute!

I'm gonna enjoy this Hebrew Hammer. He's not great but he's exciting enough.
