Comments Thread For: Bellew's Trainer Explains Why Dillian Whyte is Not The Right Fight

Last week, former two division world champion David Haye has revealed the results of surgery on his left bicep that forced the postponement of his grudge rematch with Tony Bellew. Haye suffered what he said was a "freak accident" in training for the December 17 date at London's O2 Arena, tripping during an exercise routine on some stairs and injuring his upper arm while reaching for the banister to prevent a fall.

Whyte isn't elite, but he's an actual heavyweight who could cause problems to Bellew. There also isn't much financial gain, so if your going to move up, I can see why Bellew wants the cash fights.

But bellew isn't targeting anyone to suggest he wants the cash fights or big fights.

Hes going to sit & wait for Hayes vagina to heal like a good lil cuck.

Bellew knows hes as lucky as can be that someone with exactly hayes shîtty attributes, fan base & washed up status exists,& worse yet he lucked into him having glass joints throughout his body which broke & gifted him a joke win & another payday.

I will bet anyone any amount of money, etc that bellew doesn't face anyone beside maybe a complete nobody before haye comes back.

And even then my $$ is on him waiting til haye recovers as thats the only name thats also millions times safer than real HWs.

SOooo Bellew is elite now?? lol There is a reason why everyone is calling him out; he's garbage! Easy win for any decent fighter heavyweight.

Whyte for all his faults would annihilate Tony he's just trying to sneak his name in there.Whyte would be in a better position had he fought and beat a named American on the trip stateside and not struggled with both Chisora and Helenius after being K0'd by AJ.

He needs Hearn to take a risk with him like a trip to America and finish off a Miller or somebody as waiting for big fights won't happen ....he's sizable risk and little reward.

Tony needs to sit it out and wait for Haye who is looking finished but still a name with money attached.

High risk / low reward in a nutshell then. Just come out and say it.

Bellew is going to take the Haye rematch and retire. He just wants to cash out.

As others pointed out Bellew is waiting for another cash out check with Haye. To say Whyte doesn’t bring anything to the table is kind of ******. He is the WBC #1 contender. There is no sure thing Haye even comes back. If he were to outbox Whyte & score the win he would be in line for a Wilder title shot. He could still get a shot at Parker. I understand Whyte is not going to bring the Haye payday but he should just come out & say they are waiting for Haye.

This wouldn't be the case bc Whyte is ranked number 1 in the WBC . Where is Bellew ever going to get a shot at a number 1 in any sanctioning body? Only a Fury fight would generate more money but if Bellews team is stating Whyte has no relevance they are clearly lying .
