Comments Thread For: Promoter: We Want Menayothin To Match Mayweather's 50-0!

This past weekend, WBC minimumweight champion Wanheng Menayothin took a big step towards matching, or even surpassing, Floyd Mayweather's unbeaten record of 50 straight victories. The Thai world champion seemed to be in his element in a makeshift ring in Nakhon Ratchasima on Saturday when he recorded a unanimous decision victory over Japanese challenger Tatsuya ***uhara.

He's going to go down as the TBE. Well, according to idiots that keep on holding for that 0.

Bunch of fanboys gonna be rooting hard for Estrada in February. Funny thing is that's a much more worthy opponent than McGregor but not as worthy as Finito's 50th which was Sor Vorapin an ex-champ with good credentials.

He will overtake Finito's 51-0 probably towards the end of the year with his activity level.

Give him credible boxers to fight. Such a milestone cannot be achieved when fighting bums.

To be anywhere near considered the #1 p4p you need to have at least flattened Dominic Wade inside 2 rounds. Just ask GGG

Doesn't Jimmy Barry hold the record for undefeated champions with 59 wins?

It was all about beating Marciano's record now it's Floyd's pseudo-record (asterisk for mcgregor farewell fight charade) next it will be Ricardo Lopez's 51

He's gotta retire undefeated and with no draws.

Otherwise there have been longer winning streaks, like Julio Cesar Chavez being 89-0 at one point.

Can someone more clued up thai boxing scene tell me why there dont seem to be more calls for Menayothin vs CP Freshmart?

Both undefeated title holders from the same country at the same weight

They could do Kyoguchi (JAP) vs Yamanaka (JAP) and Menayothin (THAI) vs Niyomtrong (THAI)

                  Then have the winners fight
